Episode 71 - Mass Migration
Breaking Down: Collapse
00:00
Is There a Right Approach to Immigration?
There is extreme prejudice against immigrants coming into your country. In Mexico, there was a lot of the same prejudice against people coming from other Central American countries. The US ended up taking like 18,000 Syrian refugees, I think, which is nothing really compared to the 13 million that were displaced. And when you compare that to the future and projections down the line, they're talking about anywhere between 200 million and a billion refugees by 2050 in climate change alone. It's just such a unstoppable crushing wave of people with terrible consequences.
