The Role of Mathematics in the Universe
There are more sort of mental universes in mathematics than exist in the physical universe. If something is mathematically forbidden if something doesn't happen, it's probably because it's mathematically forbidden That's like one way that we figure out what the rules are We say How come muons don't just turn into electrons sometime? What's going on there? And it turns out there's a mathematical rule that describes why that can't happen and often reveals some like underlying physical principle.
