The Triumph of Hannibal in the Second Punic War

Hannibal was not only a brilliant military strategist, but also a leader who understood the power of propaganda. He set out to subvert the mythological ales on which much of the gio political realities of roman power had been built. Hannibal and his advisers hoped to bring italian and sicilian greeks into an alliance against rome. After more than a decade and a half of struggle, carthage was eventually forced to submit to a humiliating peace.
