The Deliberate Use of Gaslighting

The name gaslighting comes from a 1939 British stage play called Gaslight. It was later produced into two films, the UK's 1940 Gaslight and in 1944 in the US, under the same name starring Ingrid Bergman. The book Grow on a Train is a great example of that, or that's pretty much the whole plot. A gaslighter will use that to their advantage or to like further, because they want to control the other person.
