The Importance of Humor in Film

Ben Stiller and I became friends when we worked together on the movie War of 18, 12. The film is about a group of actors who go back to LA after making a war movie and they all have PTSD from it. It's kind of like handing someone a crayon and saying, hey, can you paint the Sistine Chapel? "It was that period of time when it felt like everyone was going to do a war movie," he says.
