Scientists have been trying to figure out how the Bocila plant mimics other plants for more than a decade. One answer comes from a fringe group of researchers known as plant neurobiologists. They think that plants might possess consciousness, a form of sentience and even perhaps a form of vision. Benji: If any of these ideas proved to be true, it could really expand our understanding of what plants are capable of.
