The french e laws, the french statute, actually defines jews more strictly than than the notsy definition. They focus first on foreign jews, or stateless jews in france, but french jews are deported as well. And these arrests and deport tions begin in the northern occupied zone. But when when the number of jews arrested do not meet the notse numbers, the quotas that they wanted, a vice allows for the arrest and deportation of jews from unoccupied france as well.
