Torah's Compassion for Human Imperfection

On today’s page, Menachot 18, we find a surprisingly lenient catalog of errors that a priest might make during a sacrificial offering. Even when steps are missed or performed by a non-priest, the Talmud often rules the offering valid, reminding us that the law leaves room for our human tendency to stumble.
