The Resignation of the Lebanese Government
Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diyab and his cabinet resigned on August 9th. President Michelle Aung accepted the resignations but asked them to stay on in a caretaker role until new leadership was appointed. It took an explosion of 2,700 tonnes of ammonium nitrate to bring down the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
