What I Learned About the US-China Cooperative Relationship
After SARS, we really built up the US-China health relationship. That was a big growth spot for China in the 2000s. This is actually the period after SARS when the Chinese government becomes much more concerned about ensuring there's health care for people. So it was very interesting. I then left the State Department in 2007 and worked for five years at the World Resources Institute as a senior advisor on the China Energy and Climate Program.
