The difference between palliative care and euthanasia is found in the intention. What are you intending to do by giving this person this medication? Is it to relieve their pain? Or is it to kill them? To relieve their pain by killing them? I don't see how that looks like this. But if you're saying that the act you're doing is okay then it's not jumping to utilitarianism, it seems to me. You already know it's okay. Now what are the effects?
