Epicureans were regarded in their own day as a very evative. But they did actually moved into the roman world around 100 b c. Philodemus had studied and lived and worked in athens. He set up a school in in the naples region. This was probly at herculaneum. And there he, he won the ear of many influential romans. His most important influence was ang hobs.
