The Three Lessons I Learned From Nature
The bristlecone pine falls into a category of species that we call stress tolerators. The trees thrive on adversity by living at high elevations where little else survives. Bristle cones are often called extremophiles by scientists. They survive extremely cold temperatures, extremely dry soils, high winds and short growing seasons.
