Are These Two Treatises Really Real?

In Zareyakov and Walda Heiwat, we have two stunningly progressive, rationalist thinkers of the 17th century in Ethiopia. Catholic priest Gisto Dordbino claimed to discover both works; he provided them to manuscript collector Antoine Dabadi. An Italian scholar named Carlo Contirosini produced a study of the two treatises shortly after World War I. The skeptical view was revived by Anais-Wion just a few years ago.
