Tolkien talks about the idea of fairy and drama. He also calls it Elvish drama or Elvendrama. The closest we can really come to understanding that is something along the lines of visionary experience, he says. And if we mortal human beings witness a fairy and drama, we believe we are in some other world according to Tolkien.
