The Cognitive Leap Forward Hypothesis

The original idea of the cognitive leap forward? Was that the same as a move from Neanderthal to human? No. That's the best case because Neanderthals were so successful and we replaced them in Europe. What should we expect to see in Neanderthal genetics if the great cognitive leap forward hypothesis were true? I think one of that predictions would have been that all of these like bio behavioral loci, related to like language and development, just psychological development should be very, very strikingly different.
