Duma Key

The book follows Edgar Freemantle, a man who survives a severe construction accident that results in the amputation of his right arm and significant memory loss.

On the advice of his psychologist, Edgar relocates to Duma Key, an island off the Florida coast, where he begins to sketch and paint as a form of therapy.

As Edgar's art grows more powerful and eerie, he uncovers a dark history involving Elizabeth Eastlake, an elderly heiress suffering from dementia, and a malevolent entity known as Perse, who commands a ship of damned souls.
