In the world of Erdas, children participate in a sacred coming-of-age ritual at age 11, where they drink a special nectar to summon their spirit animals.

The story follows four 11-year-olds—Conor, Abeke, Meilin, and Rollan—who each summon one of the reincarnated spirits of the world’s 12 Great Beasts.

These children must bond with their spirit animals to develop powers and work together to fight against the evil forces threatening Erdas.

The book is part of a series where each subsequent book is written by a different author, adding a unique perspective to the ongoing story.
