Love Comes Softly

The novel follows Marty Claridge, who after her husband's sudden death, accepts a proposal from widower Clark Davis for a temporary marriage of convenience.

In exchange for a place to stay through the winter and fare for her return east in the spring, Marty agrees to help raise Clark's young daughter, Missie.

As the months pass, Marty learns about Clark's faith and develops an affectionate bond with Missie, leading to a deeper understanding of love and faith.
