The Shamanic Way of the Bee

The book presents a mystical narrative about initiation into an ancient spiritual tradition centered on honeybees.

Ariella Daly explains that the work was presented as an intact lineage, but later disclosures indicated that much of it came from visions, journeys, or other non-ordinary experiences rather than real-world transmission.

The discussion also identifies extensive alleged plagiarism from numerous authors, including P. L. Travers and Rudolf Steiner.

Amber Hill and Daly reflect on why modern readers may be especially vulnerable to stories promising access to lost traditions and secret initiation.

They conclude that the biological, cultural, and spiritual significance of bees does not require a fabricated lineage to be meaningful.
