Blueberries for Sal

Published in 1948, Blueberries for Sal follows Little Sal and her mother as they visit Blueberry Hill to pick blueberries for canning before winter.

Unbeknownst to them, a bear cub and his mother are also on the hill, eating berries to prepare for hibernation.
