Commenting and Commentaries

Spurgeon's 'Commenting and Commentaries' gathers his evaluations and humorous observations about various biblical commentaries and commentators.

Drawn from lectures and writings, the material offers both critique and guidance for choosing useful exegetical resources.

Spurgeon's pastoral wisdom and sharp wit make the collection both educational and entertaining for ministers.

It also reflects his high standards for sound exposition and practical application.

Often included in editions of his Lectures to My Students, it serves as both instruction and caution regarding commentary use.
