Le Château de ma mère

This book is the sequel to 'La Gloire de mon père' and continues the autobiographical account of Marcel Pagnol's childhood.

It describes his summer holidays, his relationships with family and friends, and the family's frequent visits to their holiday home in the countryside near Marseilles.

The narrative includes vivid descriptions of his father's integrity and the family's adventures, as well as the tragic events that befell some of his childhood friends and family members.
