Malala's Magic Pencil

Malala's Magic Pencil is a picture book written from Malala Yousafzai's perspective, aimed at children ages 4 to 8.

It recounts her childhood in Swat Valley, Pakistan, where she wished for a magic pencil to solve small problems like stopping time or making a football, and later to fix bigger issues like peace and education.

Although she never finds a magic pencil, Malala learns that her voice and writing can create real change, even in the face of danger from the Taliban.

The book features gentle watercolor illustrations by Kerascoët with gold embellishments, making it accessible and inspiring for young readers.
