The story follows Dorothy Gale, a young girl from Kansas, who along with her dog Toto, is swept away by a cyclone to the magical Land of Oz. There, she embarks on a journey down the yellow brick road to the Emerald City to seek the help of the Wizard of Oz to return home.
Along the way, she meets a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodman, and a Cowardly Lion, each seeking something they believe the Wizard can provide.
The group faces numerous challenges, including the Wicked Witch of the West, before discovering the true nature of the Wizard and finding their own inner strengths.
